LOGISTIC COORDINATOR
As Logistic Coordinator you are responsible for managing and coordinating all logistics activities related to the Marine & Plant Department, ensuring the efficient movement of equipment, spare parts, vehicles, vessels, and materials. The role involves planning, scheduling, and monitoring logistics operations, coordinating with suppliers, transport providers, customs, and internal teams to support marine construction projects. The Logistic Coordinator ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and international shipping standards to optimize cost, time, and resource utilization.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certification in Logistics & Supply Chain (CILT, APICS, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Training or certification in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) related to logistics and transport is preferred.
- Valid UAE driving license (advantageous).
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in logistics, preferably in marine construction, shipping, or heavy equipment industry.
- Experience in handling customs clearance, international shipping, and transportation of heavy equipment is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in managing logistics operations for large-scale projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Coordinate and oversee the transportation of heavy equipment, vehicles, spare parts, and marine assets to project sites.
- Manage logistics schedules for loading, unloading, delivery, and dispatch of equipment and materials.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and transport companies to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving delays or discrepancies proactively.
- Support marine and plant operations by ensuring availability of logistics resources.
- Provide reports and updates on logistics activities to the Marine & Plant Department Manager.
- Coordinate with the procurement, workshop, warehouse, and marine operations teams for effective logistics planning. Implement and monitor KPIs related to logistics performance.
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping, port, and customs regulations.
- Optimize logistics costs while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipping documents, customs clearance, and delivery notes.
- Compliance with Health, Safety and Environment Policies and applicable procedures
