TECHNICAL OFFICE ENGINEER

Technical Officer Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting engineering projects by providing technical expertise, managing project documentation, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders. This position involves working closely with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure that projects are executed efficiently using sound methodologies which comply with specifications while adhering to quality and safety standards.

  • Masters or Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering, Higher Technical Diploma or similar.
  • Any supporting certification is beneficial.
  • Min 3-5 Years experience in similar role / demonstrated site experience with UAE experience.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to engineering teams in the design, development, and implementation of projects. Review technical specifications and design drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordination and Communication: Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, contractors, and clients. Attend project meetings and provide updates on technical issues and project progress.
  • Site Support: Assist in site management activities, including monitoring project schedules, progress, and resource allocation. Conduct site visits to assess work in progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze technical issues and provide solutions to ensure project continuity and minimize delays. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot design and construction challenges.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all engineering activities comply with local laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay updated on relevant regulations and best practices to maintain compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Training and Development: Support the training and development of junior staff and engineers, sharing technical knowledge and best practices. Participate in professional development activities to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, specifications, and technical manuals. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly archived.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality control checks on materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Identify any non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.

  • Good communication skills in English other languages are desirable.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office / CAD.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
