SENIOR HSE OFFICER

The Senior HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the operational controls for Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Plan on construction sites. This role involves conducting HSE inductions, HSE inspections, toolbox talks, and risk analysis, as well as performing daily safety patrols and behavioral audits. The Senior HSE Officer has fundamental importance in providing operational solutions to the project team related to HSE. The Senior HSE officer monitors environmental compliance, waste management, and ensures timely reporting of incidents and near misses. The Senior HSE Officer plays a critical role in helping the operational team to maintain a safe work environment by applying proactive safety measures and revisiting risk assessments after incidents

You are a dedicated Senior HSE Officer with extensive experience in marine construction, committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. You proactively identify risks, implement effective control measures, and promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards, risk assessment processes, and incident investigation.
  • Certifications in NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE qualifications are preferred.

  • Minimum 10 Years of Work Experience in construction

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with personnel at all levels.
  • Excellent observational skills to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
  • Proactive approach to safety with the ability to perform audits and provide corrective actions.
  • Ability to conduct safety training and toolbox talks effectively.
  • Strong reporting and organizational skills to maintain safety records and reports.
